Why I tutor: I am a tutor because I love working one-on-one with students to help them realize how smart they are. I take a problem-solving approach to tutoring. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help students develop their critical thinking, study skills, and organization so that they can be successful in all of their future endeavors. My Qualifications: I am a certified 7-12 mathematics teacher in the state of Tennessee and hold federal Highly Qualified status in mathematics. I am familiar with both TN state math standards and Common Core math standards. I have over 100 hours of private tutoring experience with students in grades 4-12. I also worked as a College Algebra tutor and Math Lab tutor in the Lipscomb University Math Department for 2 years.
